Heath Pennington

Heath is a Senior College Coach with more than a decade of experience helping students navigate the admissions process. Heath has worked with hundreds of learners from around the world, providing guidance on undergraduate, graduate and doctoral applications across the United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong and China. Heath holds a PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Master's degrees awarded with distinction from Goldsmiths, University of London and Central European University, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with Bachelor's degrees in English Literature and Theatre.

As a trained actor and longtime writer, Heath believes in the power of storytelling, and it sits at the centre of their mentoring: helping each student understand and tell their own story. Together, they identify the student's strengths, think about their goals, and consider what their interests say about them. Working closely with students and families, Heath sets goals that keep the application process manageable and inspiring. One of Heath's favourite parts of the work is seeing students' confidence and sense of self grow.

Outside of admissions work, Heath is an educator and scholar whose widely published research focuses on performance, communication and human connection. Having lived, studied and worked internationally, Heath enjoys helping students explore opportunities across educational systems and cultural contexts, and spends free time reading, travelling, attending live theatre and planning the next adventure.
